Mike Fuszner joined St. Charles Community College (SCC) in Fall 1999 to develop a new networking program. He didn’t follow the traditional academic route but instead patterned the program after his own experience as a consultant in Information Technology. His goal was and continues to be to help students learn hands-on skills relevant in the corporate world in addition to preparing for certification exams. The cyber security program was added in Fall 2013 when SCC became an Authorized Training Center for EC-Council. Mike earned a Master of Science degree in Information Technology with a specialization in Network Architecture and Design in 2008. Later Mike earned his Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) and Computer Hacking Forensics Investigator (CHFI) certifications.
Prior to joining SCC Mike worked as a consultant to BJC Health Systems. In addition, Mike worked for the FBI in Washington, DC, directly out of college many years ago before entering the broadcasting field, where he served as Program Director, Music Director, and on-air talent for over twenty years in major markets around the country.
